Lacrosse Eyes CSAC Playoffs After 18-1 Victory Over Rosemont

BALTIMORE, Md. – In the 2019 Notre Dame lacrosse team's regular season finale today, the Gators posted their seventh Colonial States Athletic Conference victory.  In the 18-1 win over the Rosemont Ravens, seven players recorded a score for their eighth game this season posting 18 or more goals.

Senior Megan Morales lead the team in goals, posting nine in the victory.  She also added one assist, leaving her one-point shy of the 300 career point mark. 

Senior Kirstin McGee added three goals and four assists for the Gators.  Her four assists, in the game pushed her over the 100 career assist mark, and now has over 100 career goals and 100 assists.

Morales and McGee finish the regulars season on top of the CSAC in goals per game and assists per game, respectively.  They are also number one and two in the conference in points, combining for 182 this season. 

Senior Peace Ani added two scores in the win and has recorded a career season-high nine goals in her final season.  She also tallied an assist in the win.

Freshmen Stephanie Morgan, Julie Hagis, Vanessa Dunn, and junior Loren Pardoe each finished the game with a goal apiece, while Dunn recorded two assists and Hagis with one. 

Morales and McGee combined for 16 draw controls, while Morales led the team with four caused turnovers.

In goal, sophomores Marie Salas and Calenna Cauley split time with Salas notching two saves and Cauley with one.

WHAT'S NEXT?
The Gators are in the CSAC Playoffs for the first time since the 2017 season.  They will travel to Bryn Athyn College for their third meeting of the season for the CSAC Semifinals.  The Gators and Lions have split their two meetings this season, with Wednesday, May 1 serving as a tiebreak.
