ROSEMONT, Pa. -- The Colonial States Athletic Conference announced the 2018-19 Winter/Spring All-Academic Team, which included 32 Notre Dame student-athletes. This season, 445 winter/spring student-athletes were recognized as All-Academic Team member across the CSAC.
Student-athletes from the basketball, lacrosse, softball, and tennis teams that achieve a grade-point average of 3.20 or higher earn the CSAC All-Academic honor. The basketball grade-point average is calculated using the entire academic year, while the lacrosse, softball, tennis, and track & field grade-point average is calculated using just the spring semester.
In the winter/spring, the sophomore and junior classes led the pack with nine being named CSAC All-Academic. The freshman class followed with eight, while the seniors had six. The 32 student-athletes earning CSAC All-Academic made up for just under 50% of the winter/spring student-athlete population.
The lacrosse and track & field teams each had 10 student-athletes earn CSAC All-Academic status, while the softball team tallied nine, for a program high. The softball team led the winter spring teams with a team GPA of 3.259, followed by lacrosse with a 3.255, and track & field with a 3.136 GPA. The basketball team and tennis teams combined for five honorees, while the Gators had three winter/spring multi-sport All-Academic team members. Tennis finished the spring with a 3.025 GPA, while over both the fall and spring semesters basketball finished with a 2.701 GPA.
Twelve of the 32 student-athlete also earned CSAC Postseason Honors. From basketball:

Megan Morales (CSAC Player of the Year/First Team All-CSAC),
Loren Pardoe (Second Team All-CSAC),
Marie Salas (Second Team All-CSAC), and
Hannah Woodworth (CSAC All-Sportsmanship). From tennis:
Isabella Dallasta (Second Team All-CSAC). From softball:
Jodie Bronushas (Second Team All-CSAC) and
Sammy Kastner (Second Team All-CSAC/CSAC All-Sportsmanship). And from Track & Field:
Adamary Sanchez- Martinez (CSAC Honorable Mention - 400m Hurdles),
Oumou Sall (CSAC All-Sportsmanship), and
Justice Walrath (CSAC Honorable Mention – Shot Put).
Of the 445 student-athletes recognized by the CSAC as All-Academic, 150 were also honored as part of All-CSAC and All-Sportsmanship Teams. Ten received major postseason honors, including Morales who was named the CSAC Player of the Year.
Notre Dame finishes the 2018-19 season with 63 student-athletes being named to the CSAC All-Academic Team. In the fall, 31 student-athletes were recognized. Twelve student-athlete this year, earned both Fall and Winter/Spring All-Academic recognitions.
