BALTIMORE, Md. – Notre Dame field hockey is back in the win column after defeating non-conference opponent, Neumann University on Wednesday afternoon. After a tied score after the first quarter, the Gators jumped out on top in the second and did not let up, defeating the Knights, 5-3.
Sophomore
Vanessa Dunn led the team with a hat trick and how leads the team this season with four goals. Her first goal of the game came off a penalty stroke in the 23
rd minute, giving the Gators a 2-1 advantage. She scored both goals in the second quarter and her final goal in the final goal for the Gators.
Sophomore
Katie Hawkins notched her second goal of the season, giving NDMU the 1-0 lead in the first. Junior
Michaela Seay assisted in the play.
In the opening seconds of the fourth quarter, sophomore
Kelsey Campbell helped up a three goal differential. She now also had two goals this season.
Dunn led the team with 11 shots, while Campbell added five.
On the defensive end, sophomore
Fallon Katz posted five saves against the Knights.

The Gators are back on the road on Saturday as they head to Drew University for another non-conference match up.
