BALTIMORE, Md. – Notre Dame soccer suffered a tough overtime loss Tuesday afternoon as they hosted local rival Goucher College. The Gators fell in the first overtime, 2-1.
The Gators gave up an early goal to the Gopher in the opening 10 minutes of play. Almost a minute later, senior
Colette Pierce posted the equalizer, tying the game at one goal apiece.
Goucher outshot the Gators 12-4, but the Gators held on to force overtime for the second time this season.
With time running down in the first overtime, Goucher would punch in the game winner.
Pierce led the team with two shots in the game, while senior
Loren Pardoe and sophomore
Kayla Grube added one apiece.
In goal for NDMU, freshman
Myla Young posted eight saves against the Gophers.
