Box Score HACKETTSTOWN, Nj. – Saturday afternoon the Notre Dame Gators took on the Centenary Cyclones in New Jersey for their last regular season CSAC game. The Cyclones came out strong from the start and in the first quarter held Notre Dame to one basket in comparison their eight. Notre Dame managed to pick up their intensity and brought the game closer ending the half down 15-20. In a fight to the finish, the Gators tied in points scored at the third quarter with 15 for each team. Unfortunately, the Gators could not catch back up to the Cyclones and lost the game 46-53.
Even with the loss, the Gators had a few stand-out players from the game. Freshman
Ariana Alleyne had 18 total points. She additionally had three steals.
Sophomore
Daija Fitchett ended the game with a double-double recording 10 points and 14 rebounds. 12 of those rebounds came from the defensive end where she also tallied an impressive five blocks.
Freshman
Jaylah Lewis posted eight rebounds and eight total points. She additionally finished the game with two steals.
The Gators are now 17-8 overall and 13-5 in the CSAC.
WHAT'S NEXT?
The Gators have clinched the #3 seed for the second year in a row within the CSAC. Playoffs will begin next week and the NDMU basketball team will play on Wednesday, February 26
