BALTIMORE, Md. – It was announced today by the Notre Dame of Maryland University Department of Athletics that John Caslin is the new Interim head cross country coach for the 2020 fall season.
Coach Caslin comes to the Gator community with a long history of accomplishments and experience throughout his career. Before his path led him to Notre Dame, coach Caslin was the Head Men's and Women's Cross Country Coach at Goucher College for 26 years. During his long stint at Goucher, his team participated in three National Championship Qualifiers with 25 females being selected as All Conference along with multiple rookie of the year recognitions and a plethora of postseason athlete acknowledgments. Furthermore, Coach Caslin served as a chair member of the Cross Country/Track and Field coaches committees in both the Capital Athletic Conference and twice in the Landmark Conference.
Renee Bostic, the Director of Athletics and Wellness at NDMU says, "We are thrilled to welcome Coach Caslin into the Gator community as Interim Head Cross Country Coach. With his long history of accomplishments and experience, there is no doubt that he will lead the Gator cross country team to success in the future."
Coach Caslin is also serving as the Assistant Outdoor Track and Field Coach at NDMU. He additionally earned his Bachelor's Degree from Notre Dame of Maryland University as part of the weekend college in Religious Studies.
