Jaime Ballard added two scores apiece. With the win, the Gators grabbed back-to-back wins to improve to 2-3 in the CSAC.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- In the first period, Alyson Geckle got the goal-scoring rolling for the Gators with just under a minute into the game. Dunn scored her first goal on a pass from Ballard with nine minutes to play. Seconds later, Locakard would pile onto Notre Dame's lead for her first on the day.
- Geckle added to her points total finding Ballard for an easy score giving the Gators its largest scoring output in a single period this year. With the Gators up 4-0 midway through the second, Lockard added to Notre Dame's lead with the second of three goals.
- In the third period, Katie Hawkins scored her first goal of the season two minutes into the half. Ballard and Lockard added two more scores in the third to give the Gators a 8-0 advantage with only a quarter to play.
- Dunn got her seventh goal of the season late in the fourth to lift the Gators past the Lions.
OF NOTE
- Jensen Armstrong held the Lions scoreless and claimed her first career clean sheet.
- Notre Dame (Md.) outshot Bryn Athyn 41-0. The Gators also won the penalty corner battle 16-0.
- The Gators will take a 3-2 all-time series lead over the Lions with the win.
