BALTIMORE –
Ciarra Bockstie and
Rosemary O'Brien totaled eight kills apiece, leading the Notre Dame of Maryland University offense in a 3-0 sweep over Keystone on Saturday. Set scores were 25-19, 25-12, 25-17.
Paulina Hernandez added four aces and nine digs for the Gators (9-6, 3-0 CSAC), who remained perfect in Colonial States Athletic Conference play while handing the Giants (7-9, 2-1 CSAC) their first conference setback of the season.
Notre Dame's team attack percentage of .236 was its second-highest of the season. Bockstie led the team with a .500 attack percentage, while O'Brien set a new season best at .368.
Jade Stewart chipped in five kills and nine digs, while
Emma Mueller added four kills and 14 assists and
Natalie Newton supplied 13 assists and three aces.
Hernandez, who ranks fifth in the CSAC in aces per set, recorded 4+ aces for a fourth time this season.
Notre Dame, which has now won 21-straight sets during its current seven-match winning streak, returns to action on Wednesday, traveling to Cairn for a CSAC matchup beginning at 7 p.m.
