Gators Celebrate Senior Adrianna Fletcher; Clinch Three Seed in CSAC Playoffs

BALTIMORE, MD – The Notre Dame of Maryland basketball team (13-9, 13-5 CSAC) secures the most CSAC wins in school history for the second straight season in Saturday afternoon's 81-50 rout of Rosemont (5-17, 5-13 CSAC). Ayana Brim and Daija Fitchett combined for 39 points on 15-of-17 shooting to give the Gators their second straight 30-point runaway victory.

Alexis Durham had a near triple-double 10 points, tying a career career-high nine assists and adding eight rebounds. The Gators received an all-around effort with nine of ten posting four or more points including Fletcher's 127th triple.  

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Notre Dame went on a 19-0 run in the first quarter to create some cushion early. 
  • The Gators ended the quarter up 24-9. Lex Durham had all of her 10 points on three triples. She added four assists in the quarter. 
  • In the second, Brim collected her third steal and added two scores to end the half with 10 points.
  • Jasmine Gardner came in and added four points in the quarter. Durham had seven assists by halftime and Fitchett had four of her own.
  • Up 27 to start the third, Notre Dame kept the Ravens shooters at bay despite better shooting in the quarter. Fitchett came up with two huge blocks in and ended the game with four..
  • Notre Dame tired over the bench in the final quarter and outscored Rosemont 20 to 15 to seal the 31-point win.

OF NOTE
  • Brim 21 points gets her in double figures for the 17th time this year.
  • Fitchett gets her 16th double-double (18 points, 12 rebounds) along with the 11th straight multi-block game, 16th of the season. She will have a shot at the 800-rebound milestone with four boards in Monday's game. Fitchett 51 blocks this season is the fourth-most in a single season.
  • Alexis Durham has the third most assists by a Gator at 125 this season. 
  • Notre Dame forced 22 turnovers while limiting the on-forced errors on the offensive end.
  • Notre Dame gets win number 13 all-time against Rosemont in 29 meetings.
