Women's Soccer Drops Regular Season Finale

BALTIMORE – The Notre Dame of Maryland women's soccer team fell in their final regular season game, dropping a 1-0 match to Rosemont College on Tuesday, October 24.

The Gators (6-8 Overall, 4-5 United East) created some early scoring opportunities with Mackenzie Lookingland and Emma Alascia firing shots in the 12th and 13th minutes. Neither team could gain significant traction, with the game remaining scoreless at the half.

NDMU created the first scoring chance of the second half when Anna Choudhary rocketed a shot off the crossbar in the 50th minute. The Ravens (6-9-2 Overall, 5-2-2 United East) finally broke through in the 51st minute, scoring to take a 1-0 lead. The Gators tried to battle back, firing 15 shots on goal. Alascia created two quality scoring chances in the final minutes, but she could not level the game at one. Rosemont held on for the 1-0 victory.
