BALTIMORE- The Notre Dame (MD) women's lacrosse team opened their 2023 season by falling to SUNY Maritime by a score of 19-1 on Thursday, Mar. 2.
The Gators lone goal was scored by
Jade Stewart, who struck early in the fourth quarter.
Sarah Generoso collected a team-high five ground balls and three draw controls.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Stewart scored NDMU's only goal and collected four draw controls
- The Gators collected 17 ground balls and won eight draws
- Averee Radonovich and Emma Alascia each gathered three ground balls
- Alissandra Mason made nine saves in her collegiate debut
- SUNY Maritime held a decisive 34-8 advantage in shots
- The Privateers were led by Avery Jillson Neuwirth and Tori Gay who each scored four goals
