Chestertown, MD – Notre Dame of Maryland's women's volleyball dropped both game of their tri-match against St. Mary's College and Washington College on Saturday, Sept. 16.
The Gators (4-5 Overall) opened the day with a highly competitive match with St. Mary's College (4-8 Overall) falling in five set: 15-25, 26-24, 25-17, 21-25 and 15-17. NDMU could not recover from their defeat, falling to Washington College (3-7 Overall) in straight sets: 13-25, 9-25 and 13-25.
In the matchup against St. Mary's College,
Paulina Hernandez had another incredible defensive performance finishing the game with a career-high 42 digs. That performance ranks fourth in program history in digs in a single game.
Miasia Ferrer set a new career-high in kills, finishing the game with 18 kills.
Ciarra Bockstie and
Gabbi Taganas were major contributors on the offensive end, finishing with 12 kills and nine kills.
WHO'S NEXT?
The Gators will head to Washington, D.C. to face Gallaudet University on Wednesday, Sept. 20. The game is scheduled to begin at 7:00 PM.
