Reading, Pa. – Notre Dame of Maryland's women's volleyball dropped a hard-fought five set battle with Albright College on Tuesday, Sept. 5, falling by set scores of 24-26, 30-28, 25-23, 21-25 and 11-15.
Miasia Ferrer continued her hot start to the season, setting another career-high for kills with 17.
Emma Mueller recorded a triple-double with 10 kills, 20 assists and 13 digs. Defensively the Gators were anchored by
Jade Stewart and
Paulina Hernandez who combined for 39 digs.
The Gators (1-2) and the Lions (2-1) traded points throughout the night, with each set being decided by four points or less. After dropping an opening set the Gators fought back to win the second set 30-28, with a service ace by
Shelbey Willson securing the victory. NDMU captured the third set by winning four of the final five points, with Stewart slamming down a kill to close out the set.

- The Gators held a 60-50 edge in kills and a 14-11 advantage in service aces.
- Ciarra Bockstie slammed down 16 kills and three total blocks to finish the game with 19.0 points.
- Natalie Newton led the team in assists, finishing with 24 assists.
- Candace Forgach-Aguilar led the team in service aces with four and added 11 digs.
- Albright College was led by Sophie Hampton who record 18 kills.

The Gators will head to Lincoln University for a tri-match with the Lions and Penn State York. The matchup with Lincoln University is scheduled for 11:00 AM while the game against Penn State York will tip-off at 1:00 PM.
