BALTIMORE- On the road this weekend, against Goucher College, the Notre Dame of Maryland Women's Soccer team fell to the Gophers with a score of 7-0 on Saturday, Sept. 21.
The Gators fell behind early as the Gophers scored their first goal of the game in the opening 5 minutes, taking the early advantage. Regardless of the early advantage from Goucher, the Gators did not let that slow them down. NDMU had two scoring opportunities, one shot taken by
Anna Choudhary which resulted in a corner kick that gave way for a second shot to be taken by
Malaika Habib on goal.
Leah Hasberry held the Gators in the game throughout the first half with a total of 9 saves. NDMU trailed 4-0 at the break.
During the second half, the Gators only shot opportunity came on a counterattack and was taken by
Tchala Ungwa. The Gophers offense put the pressure on NDMU, firing a total of 32 shots and earning 7 corner kicks. Not giving into Goucher's offensive pressure, Hasberry had a total of 15 saves within the second half of this match, finishing with 24 saves.

The Gators will return home to face Mount Aloysius College on Wednesday, Sept. 25. The kick-off is scheduled for 4:00 PM
