The Notre Dame Women's Basketball team put on a gutsy performance against Penn State Harrisburg but fell short in a 52-65 battle on Tuesday night. Despite the result, the Gators demonstrated their resilience and defensive dominance, by an impressive 18 steals and a second-half surge that saw them shoot 80.8% from the field.
The game began with challenges as the Gators struggled to find their offensive rhythm, managing 36.5% shooting in the first half. Penn State Harrisburg capitalized, building a lead that tested Notre Dame's grit. Undeterred, the Gators stepped up their defensive intensity, forcing turnovers and creating momentum through relentless ball pressure.
Junior forward #23 was a force on the boards, grabbing 8 rebounds and holding the team down in the paint. Her hustle and determination were key in limiting the opponent's second-chance opportunities. Sophomore guard #1 added 3 rebounds and fueled the defense with her energy. The Gators are back at home January 11,2025 at 1:00pm facing Keystone College.
