BALTIMORE, Md. – In its second year as a program, the Notre Dame of Maryland University men's basketball team is used to heading into uncharted waters.
For the Gators, the journey into new territory begins on Wednesday the Gators host PSU-Berks in the first-round of the 2024-25 United East Conference Men's Basketball Championship. Tip time is set for 7:30 p.m. on Charles Street.
The Gators, as the number six seed, will take on 11th-seed Berks with the winner advancing to Saturday's quarterfinal at Lancaster Bible.
The Gators, under second-year head coach
T.J. Jordan, went 13-12 this season with a 10-6 mark in the UE. This will the first meeting between the two schools. NDMU is led by
Ahmad Harrison who is the team leader in points at 12.7, with
Chandler Johnson netting 10.7 points per contest.
The Lions, located in Reading, Pa., went 7-16 in the 2024-25 campaign with a 6-10 mark in the United East. This is the second straight appearance in the postseason for the Lions, who lost to Penn College last season in the first round. Andre Ballard leads the team in scoring at 17 points per game.
