Gators win first playoff game in school history

BALTIMORE, Md. -  Playing in its first playoff game in school history, in just its second year as a program – the Notre Dame of Maryland University men's basketball team made its first four baskets en route to an 88-73 win over PSU-Berks. The game was the first round of the 2024-25 United East Conference Men's Basketball Championship.

Notre Dame (14-13) advances to play Lancaster Bible on Saturday in the quarterfinals on the road.

The Gators put five players in double figures, paced by 20 points from Ahmad Johnson and 15 points from Jackson Pugh. Dylan Long netted 11, with Jahbreco Dacosta and K'Won Johnson each getting ten.

Notre Dame shot an even 50 percent (37-for-74) from the field in the game and had a 46-41 edge on the glass.
