BALTIMORE, Md. – The Notre Dame of Maryland University men's basketball team turned 28 Penn State Abington turnovers into 30 points as the Gators (12-10, 9-4 United East) defeated Abington (3-19, 2-11 United East) 88-65 on Wednesday night.
Five players scored in double figures as
Chandler Johnson led all Gator scorers with 16 points, with
Ahmad Harrison and
Amari Bell each netting 11.
Anthony Wright and
K'Won Johnson scored ten points each for the Gators, who saw 12 players crack the scoring column.
PSU-Abington got 17 points from Kobe Devine and 14 points form Anthony Pineda.
Bell had a team-high eight rebounds for NDMU, along with four steals. Johnson also had four takeaways. Harrison dished out five assists on the night.
Prior to the game, Notre Dame of Maryland honored its lone senior,
Mike Duffy. Duffy played 13 minutes, getting four rebounds, two assists and two points.
Notre Dame heads to Keystone on Saturday.
