NDM Dominates Christendom 3-0

BALTIMORE, MD — The Notre Dame of Maryland volleyball team continued its strong start to the season, sweeping Christendom College in straight sets (25–12, 25–19, 25–15) at the Marion Burt Knott Sports Complex. The win improves the Gators to 6–2 on the year.

Notre Dame controlled the match from start to finish, hitting an efficient .330 as a team while holding Christendom to just .051. Freshman Myla Palmer had a standout night, registering 10 kills with no errors on a .526 hitting percentage. Alyson Lackovic powered the offense as well, finishing with 7 kills, 7 service aces, and 21 assists for a match-high 14 points.

The Gators' balanced attack saw contributions across the lineup. Aleah Johnson hit .357 with 7 kills, while Kaliyah Brown (5 kills, 6 points) and Morgan Perzan (4 kills on 4 swings) added depth at the net. Defensively, Izzy Stewart anchored the back row with 10 digs, while Lackovic and Johnson combined for 3 blocks.

Christendom was led by Lucy Stahl, who tallied 9 kills and 8 digs, but the visitors were unable to overcome Notre Dame's consistent serving and offensive pressure.

With the victory, the Gators ride momentum into the first United East contest, hosting Penn State-Brandywine on Saturday September 20 at 3 PM.
