BALTIMORE, MD - The Notre Dame of Maryland Gators got back in the win column with a convincing 86-74 victory over Penn State Brandywine on the Gator Court. The win improves Notre Dame to 11-7 on the season and 5-1 in conference play.
NDM jumped out to an incredible start as back-to-back three pointers by
Carlos Green put the Gators ahead 19-2 after eight minutes of play. The Nittany Lions found their feet after the atrocious start, pulling it back to a 40-30 Gator lead at halftime.
Brandywine made another push midway through the second half, closing the game to a six point gap, but an 8-0 NDM run made the game more comfortable as the Gators led by double-digit points the rest of the game.
Marlon Lewis led the way with 23 points on 8-9 shooting from the floor and was 7-7 from the free throw line.
Ricardo Ross scored 20 points with a team high six rebounds, four assists, and four steals. Green finished the game with 13 points as the bench outscored the starters.
Notre Dame will host their next game on Wednesday, January 21 at 5 PM when the Wilson College Phoenix come to Baltimore.
