Men's Soccer Falls in Close Contest to Keystone

BALTIMORE - The Notre Dame of Maryland men's soccer team fell in a closely-contested match up against Keystone, and despite the Gators' best efforts on senior day, the Giants left the Turf Field Sponsored by the SSNDs with a 2-1 victory.

Before the match, the Gators recognized their four seniors - Jefferson Da Silva, Tassilo Lehmkuhl, Cristo Sanchez, and Myles Tanksley - from the inaugural men's soccer team.

After a scoreless first half which only saw four shots between the two teams, the Gators got on the scoresheet first when a corner kick off the right foot of Sanchez found Athanasios Ziliaskopolous's head, who slotted into the back of the net for his eighth goal this season.

The Giants would equalize two minutes later before scoring a penalty kick in the 78th minute to take the 2-1 lead.

For the match, NDMU had eight corner kicks and out-shot Keystone 13-8, with six shots on goal to the Giants' three.

The Gators are 4-5-2 on the season and are back in action next week to face Lancaster Bible on the road.
