BALTIMORE, MD — The Notre Dame of Maryland women's lacrosse team dropped a non-conference matchup to Albion on Tuesday afternoon, falling 23–1.
Albion (2–3) used a fast start to take control early, scoring nine goals in the opening quarter and adding five more in the second to build a 14–0 lead at halftime.
The Britons finished with a 47–6 advantage in total shots and controlled 15 draws in the contest.
Notre Dame (0–4) found the scoreboard in the fourth quarter when
Madison Miller netted an unassisted goal with 8:30 remaining to break up the shutout and account for the Gators' lone tally of the afternoon.
Goalkeeper
Leah Hasberry was busy in net for Notre Dame, making 12 saves while facing 34 shots on goal. The Gators also received ground balls from several players as they battled defensively throughout the game.
Albion was led by Anna Huard, who scored eight goals, while Ellen Chown added four goals and three assists.
Notre Dame recorded six total shots in the game, including two from Miller and three from
Yasmine Rode.
The Gators will look to bounce back in their next contest as they continue their early-season schedule when they host Eastern University on Saturday, March 21 at 1:00 PM. The two teams have split the last two contests with Eastern winning 20-3 in 2025 and the Gators winning 12-10 in 2024.
