ST. MARY'S CITY, Md. – Top-seeded St. Mary's College of Maryland outscored Notre Dame of Maryland 12-2 in the first quarter, as the Seahawks defeated the Gators 26-5 in the semifinals of the 2026 United East Women's Lacrosse tournament on Wednesday night.
With the win, the Seahawks advance to play Wilson in the conference finals on Saturday.
Leah Acri had two goals for the Gators, while
Ivory Boyer,
Yasmine Rode and
Madison Miller each had a goal in the game.
Jillian Seay and
Leah Hasberry each had three groundballs, while Rode had two draw controls.
Hasberry had eight saves in the game.
Prior to the start of the contest, Seay was honored as the United East's Elite 21 winner for Women's Lacrosse. The Elite 21 Award honors the student-athlete with the highest grade point average from a team in the championship tournament.
