BALTIMORE, Md. – On a sunny, steamy Saturday afternoon, the Notre Dame of Maryland women's lacrosse team battled Wilson before the Phoenix (3-9, 1-1 UEC) defeated the Gators (0-8, 0-1 UEC) 14-1.
Notre Dame's lone score came from
Madison Miller with 3:09 left in the game, on an assist from
Jillian Seay. Seay was honored before the game as the team's lone senior.
Ariana Rodridguez had seven draw controls for the Gators, with
Yasmine Rode getting three ground balls.
Soliery Baez Vergara had three caused turnovers on the day.
In goal,
Leah Hasberry had nine saves, including her 300
th career save, early in the first quarter.
Notre Dame will go to St. Mary's College of Maryland next Saturday.
