BALTIMORE – The Notre Dame of Maryland women's soccer team fought hard against Susquehanna on Friday evening at the Turf Field Sponsored by the SSNDs as the Gators' defense was in "bend, not break" mode until a pair of goals in a four-minute span for the visitors saw them leave with a 2-0 win.
The Gators' defense held Susquehanna at arms' length on their first 20 shot attempts of the match; the 21
st attempt saw the River Hawks turn in a ball off a corner kick.
They followed that up with an out-of-the-box effort three minutes later that doubled their lead.
The visitor attempted 28 shots to NDMU's three, with nine on target.
Goalkeeper
Leah Hasberry recorded seven saves in between the sticks while the Gators' defense faced 13 corner kicks, all of which came after the halftime intermission.
The Gators are 2-4 and close out non-conference play on Tuesday when they host Saint Vincent.
