Bobbi McDowell joined the Notre Dame of Maryland University women's volleyball coaching staff as an assistant coach in the fall 2025 season.
A former Gator, Bobbi spent her collegiate volleyball career at Notre Dame of Maryland University from 2014-2018. A four year starter for the Gators, Bobbi played as an opposite hitter and a middle blocker for NDMU and led the CSAC in total blocks, blocks per set, and hitting percentage multiple times over her career. Bobbi was recognized by her coaches and teammates as team captain her junior and senior seasons. During her tenure, Notre Dame made four consecutive CSAC tournament appearances, including two conference semifinal matches (junior and senior season).
Bobbi comes to Notre Dame with 10+ years of coaching experience at various levels including club, JV, and Varsity head and assistant coach experience. Bobbi currently coaches at Muddy Creek Athletics and Intensity Volleyball Club. As a coach, Bobbi’s approach in the gym prioritizes fostering the love of the game above all else and teaching the “why” behind the skills we coach. She is excited to return to the Notre Dame community and be a part of a program she loves.
