BALTIMORE, MD - Keystone College scored a goal in each half to outlast College of Notre Dame, 2-0, Saturday afternoon in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) field hockey action.
The Gators had the first real chance of the contest as a scrum in front of Keystone goalie Melinda Moore early in the first half netted a shot on goal which was saved. Notre Dame would not be able to get off a shot during the rest of the contest.
Brackney Brotzman broke the scoreless tie in the 30th minute off a pass from teammate Katie Butzer.
With just over two minutes remaining in the game, Butzer found teammate Hope Krolewski on the far side of the cage for a one-timer goal to make the score 2-0.
Notre Dame freshman goalie Emily Langton (Mays Landing, NJ/Holy Spirit) made eight saves in the game, seven of which came in the second half.
The Gators were outshot by a 12-1 margin and had no penalty corners to Keystone's 14.
Notre Dame (1-6 overall, 0-2 CSAC) will look to snap its four-game losing streak on Thursday when they host non-conference opponent Shenandoah at 4 p.m.
