Cumberland Scores Twice in 3-0 Win Over Cedar Crest

ALLENTOWN, PA - College of Notre Dame snapped an eight game losing and scoreless streak, earning its first Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) victory of the season with a 3-0 shutout win at Cedar Crest Saturday afternoon.

Sophomore Ashley Cumberland (Baltimore/Kenwood) scored her first of two goals on the day in the 26th minute to give the Gators a 1-0 advantage. Cumberland netted her second goal in the 43rd minute to make push the score to 2-0 at the halftime break.

Freshman Kelsey Kempf (Huntingtown, MD/Huntingtown) added her team-leading third goal of the season in the 68th minute.

Sophomore Dana Carr (Baltimore/Seton Keough) made her first career start in goal, making eight saves to earn the win and the shut out.

Cedar Crest was shut out despite having a 21-14 advantage in shots and a 4-2 edge in corner kicks.

Notre Dame (2-8 overall, 1-3 CSAC) will look for their second consecutive win on Tuesday with a 7 p.m. game at Neumann.
