Allentown, PA – Cedar Crest College defeats College of Notre Dame Field Hockey 3-0 Saturday afternoon.

The Falcons scored four minutes into the opening half to take a 1-0 lead. College of Notre Dame’s Emily Langton (Mays Landing, NJ/Holy Spirit) made nine saves in the first, keeping the Gators within striking distance of Cedar Crest.

The Gators found their stride in the final thirty-five minutes of play. Sarah Morris (Harrington, DE/Polytech) and Molly Murray (Aberdeen, MD/Aberdeen) ignited the offense with attacking runs that broke down the Falcons back line which created a fabulous penalty corner opportunity. Rachel Jones (Westminster, MD/Francis Scott Key) sent a perfect hit right to Murray’s stick for a hard shot on net, but the Falcon’s goalie kicked the shot aside. Langton made three stops in the second half.
