Notre Dame of Maryland University defeated visiting Cedar Crest College 5-0 at Alumnae Field in Colonial States Athletic Conference soccer action Sunday afternoon. At 13:48, freshman Michelle Phillips (Salisbury/James M. Bennett) connected on a pass from classmate Gabby Rehmeyer (Baton Rouge, La./Waterford Kamhlaba UWCSA). Kempf added another goal in the 33rd minute to give the Gators a 3-0 halftime lead.

The Gators were awarded a direct kick after a Cedar Crest handball in the box, which Kempf converted at 54:49 to complete her hat trick. Freshman Emily Horst (Hagerstown/Boonsboro) added another goal for the Gators in the 66th minute off a pass from Phillips.

The Gators hit the road Tuesday, October 25 for a 4:00 non-conference game at Wilson College. The game against the Phoenix is a make up, after being postponed last week due to unplayable field conditions in Chambersburg, Pa.
