Clarks Summit, Pa. – September 17, 2011 – The Notre Dame of Maryland University soccer team picked up their first conference win of the season over Keystone College Saturday afternoon, defeating the Giants 3-1.

Junior Kelsey Kempf (Huntingtown) put the visitors on the board at 34:27 off a pass from classmate Allison Terry (Towson / Baltimore Catholic) and freshman Gabrielle Rehmeyer (Baton Rouge, La. / Waterford Kamhlaba UWCSA) scored her first collegiate goal at 41:29 to give the Gators a 2-0 halftime lead. The Giants scored thirteen minutes into the second half, but senior Ashley Cumberland (Baltimore / Kenwood) scored her fifth goal of the season with eight minutes to play to secure the Notre Dame victory. Freshman Heather Lancellotti (Perry Hall) moved to 2-1 after making 4 saves in goal.

Notre Dame outshot Keystone 18-11 and had 7 corners to Keystone's 8. The Gators move to 3-2 on the year and 1-0 in CSAC play, while the Giants drop to 2-2-1 and 0-2 in the league. Notre Dame will have a week off to prepare for Cedar Crest College on Saturday, September 24. Game time is 1:30 p.m. on Alumnae Field.
