Gators' Two Goals Not Enough; Fall at Keystone

Box Score La Plume, Pa. --  The Notre Dame of Maryland University soccer team travelled to Keystone College for a matchup of Colonial States Athletic Conference foes Saturday, but fell to the host Giants.

The Gators took the lead in the 19th minute when Laura Kaufman (Baltimore, Md./Loch Raven) knocked in her third goal of the season off a corner kick. 

Keystone answered in the 23rd minute to tie the game, and added a second goal in the 38th minute to take a 2-1 lead at the half.

The Giants improved their lead to 4-1 early in the second half, scoring in the 38th and the 59th minute before Kaufman scored her fourth of the season, knocking in the team's first penalty kick goal of the season.

Freshman Karli Luker (Mechanicsburg, Pa.) led Notre Dame with three shots, while junior Kate Donadio (Reistertown, Md./Franklin) added two.

The Gators will now enjoy a week break before returning to action by travelling to CSAC rival Baptist Bible College next Saturday.
