Box Score Baltimore, Md. -- Notre Dame of Maryland University's soccer team hosted Colonial States Athletic Conference rival Rosemont College in a pivotal game that saw the teams fight to a 0-0 tie.
The Gators would get 13 opportunities, led by freshman
Meghan Connor (Huntingtown, Md./St. Mary's Ryken) and her five shots, three on goal. Senior
Savannah Ferrara (Sykesville, Md.) and sophomore
Raeden McCullough (Baltimore, Md./Greater Grace Christian Academy) both added two shots.
Despite being outshot 16-13, the Gators would finished with a 9-7 shots on goal advantage.
Freshman goalkeeper
Lilly Gordon (Delta, Pa./Kennard Dale) would post seven saves over the 110 minutes.
The tie marks the first one since a 1-1 draw against Keystone College in 2010. The scoreless tie marks the first occurence since the 2003 season in a game with Villa Julie College, which is now Stevenson University.
With their seventh shutout of the season, this year's squad moves into second place all-time in school history for shutouts in a season. With the tie, the Gators are now 8-3-1, and 2-3-1 in league play. They will return to action on Saturday as they visit CSAC foe Centenary College in another key conference matchup.
