Box Score Schuylkill, Pa. -- Notre Dame of Maryland University's soccer team would out shoot PSU Schuylkill 54-2 on their way to capturing a 5-0 victory in their 2015 season opener.
Freshman
Meghan Conner (Huntington, Md./St Mary's Ryken) would lead the Notre Dame offense and she would record her first career hat trick in her first career game, knocking in three goals on 12 shots. Senior
Chrisline Kimball (Washington, D.C./St. Johns College Prep) would add a goal and two assists while senior
Lauren Santi (Accokeek, Md./Elizabeth Ann Seton) would chip in with a goal. Freshman
Lindsey Rehak (Baltimore, Md./Redeemer Classical Christian) would add 11 shots in her debut. Santi would add eight goals, with sophomore
Raeden McCullough (Baltimore, Md./ Greater Grace Christian Academy) posting five and sophomore
Lizzie Balog (Hagerstown, Md./North Hagerstown) would notch four.
The Gators defense would also come up big, as they would allow just two shots on the afternoon, with no shots allowed in the second half. The PSU-Schuylkill goalkeeper, Megan Boyer, finished with 26 saves on the day.
After a scoreless 20 minutes, Conner would find the net in the 22nd minute on a pass from Rehak. At the 38th minute, Santi would score her first goal of the season, receiving an assist from Kimball. Kimball would then score her first of the season at the 44th minute mark to give the Notre Dame squad a 3-0 lead at halftime.
In the second half, Conner would score her second and third goal. Kimball would feed Conner at 54th minute mark for Kimball's second assist and Conner's second goal. At the 84th minute mark, Conner would score unassisted for her third of the game, sealing the 5-0 victory for Notre Dame.
Notre Dame will return to action on Thursday as they will host the University of Valley Forge on Alumnae Field for the squad's first home game.
