Gators' Strong Offensive Showing Falls Short at Cedar Crest

ALLENTOWN, Pa. – Soccer falls to 2-6 overall and 1-3 in the Colonial States Athletic Conference after today's 2-0 loss at Cedar Crest.

Notre Dame had a dominant first half, as the Gators outshout the Falcons 6-1. Despite all their chances, the game would remain scoreless heading into the break.

The Falcons opened the scoring with a goal in the 79th minute and added an insurance goal eight minutes later to seal the win.

Freshman Loren Pardoe got the call in net. The rookie finished with a pair of saves in 90 minutes of action.

Six Gators recorded a shot on goal, with sophomore Meghan Conner leading the way with three. Junior Elizabeth Balog and sophomore Lyndsay Rehak each tallied two shots on goal, while senior Brittany Smith and sophomores Jessie Lindenkohl and Lilly Gordon registered one apiece.

Notre Dame will look to break its four game skid on Tuesday, when the club hosts Immaculata (3-7, 3-1 CSAC) at 4 p.m.
