BALTIMORE, Md. – The Notre Dame of Maryland soccer team (2-9, 1-6 CSAC) welcomes Clarks Summit University to campus today in a match at 2:30 p.m.
The Gators suffered a heartbreaking 2-1 loss at Gwynedd Mercy on Wednesday. Sophomore Meghan Conner scored in the 18th minute to give Notre Dame the early 1-0 lead but a pair of late goals by the Griffins kept the Gators from earning their third win the year.
Conner leads the team with three goals and three helpers, good for nine points, while sophomore Jessie Lindenkohl is second on the club with six points on three goals. Junior Elizabeth Balog ranks third on the team in goals with a pair.
The Defenders are 2-12 on the year and 0-7 in conference action. Clarks Summit was able to snap a seven game skid after defeating Penn State Hazleton 5-2 on Friday night.
Sophomore Rebecca Giancana leads the club with five goals, while five other Defenders have scored on the year.
