Box Score ASTON, Pa. – The Notre Dame of Maryland University field hockey team traveled to Colonial States Athletic Conference opponent Neumann University for their last game of the 2016 season. The Gators would fall to the Knights 0-11.
Sophomores
Megan Morales and
Kayla Becker both registered goals in the loss to the Knights while senior
De'Ja Martin posted her second highest career performance with 28 saves. The Gators end the year with a 1-13 overall record and 0-7 in CSAC play.
This season, the Gators had notable conference and NCAA recognitions. Morales was named to the CSAC Honor Roll in first weekend in September, finishing the year with 30 shots and five goals. Martin finishes the season ranked first in CSAC for saves per game with 12.07. She spent four weeks in the top 25 for the NCAA saves per game and finishes the season ranked 12th. Martin's performance in goal also earned Notre Dame a spot in the NCAA top 25 for saves per game in the last three weeks and finishes their 2016 season in 10
th overall.
