BALTIMORE, Md. – The soccer team dropped its fourth conference match today, after falling 2-1 to Immaculata at Alumnae Field. With the loss, the Gators fall to 2-7 overall and 1-4 in the CSAC.
The match was back and forth through all 90 minutes. The Mighty Macs opened the day's action with a goal in the 11th minute. The two teams would trade shots the rest of the half with no luck, as steller goaltending play from both sides kept it a one score game.
With just 18 minutes left in the match, sophomore Meghan Conner's 20 yard lob pass from the left side found classmate Jessie Lindenkohl on a break for her third goal on the year.
The Mighty Macs would answer three minutes later, as a 40 yard free kick found the back of the net.
Sophomore Lily Gordon and freshmen Loren Pardoe split time in net. Gordon earned the start and recorded four saves in 45 minutes of action, while Pardoe tallied seven saves.
The Gators take on the Marywood Pacers on Saturday in Scranton, Pa. The Pacers currently sit at the top of the CSAC standings with a 5-4-1 record, including 5-0 in conference play.
