Soccer to Host Immaculata

BALTIMORE, Md. – The Notre Dame of Maryland soccer team welcomes Immaculata University to Alumnae Field today for a conference match at 4 p.m.

The Gators will be looking for their third win on the year, as NDMU is 2-6 overall and 1-3 in the Colonial States Athletic Conference, while the Mighty Macs are 3-7 and 3-1 in the CSAC.

The Gators had a dominant first half against Cedar Crest on Saturday but couldn't find the back of the net, despite outshooting the Falcons 10-4. The Falcons were able to capitalize on the Gators' missed opportunities, scoring a pair of goals on four shots.

Sophomore Meghan Conner leads the club with six points on two goals and a pair of assists. Junior Elizabeth Balog and sophomore Jessie Lindenkohl have also proven to be key contributors on a young Gators squad, with both girls recording two goals apiece.

Immaculata is coming off a pair of dominant victories, as the Mighty Macs scored a 9-2 win at Clarks Summit on Tuesday and earned an 8-2 victory over Cairn on Thursday.

Notre Dame will have to keep an eye on senior Carly Mirarchi and sophomore Carrie Quigley, who have been nothing short of spectacular for the Mighty Macs in 2016.

Through 10 games, Mirarchi and Quigley have combined for 24 points, on five goals and two assists apiece.  Junior Allie Tracey is 3-3 in net and leads the Mighty Macs with 28 saves on the year, to go along with a .683 save percentage.
