Aston, Pa. -- Notre Dame of Maryland University placed 18 student-athletes onto the Colonial States Athletic Conference All-Academic Team. Student-athletes for lacrosse and softball that achieve a grade-point average of 3.20 or higher for the 2016 spring semester, are recognized with the All-Academic honor. Student-athletes for basketball who achieve a grade-point average of 3.20 or higher for the academic year also receive this honor. To be eligible for the All-Academic team, the student-athlete has also used a full season of eligibility, as determined by the NCAA.
Notre Dame lacrosse led the Gators with 11 members receiving the All-Academic honor. Senior

Carrie Naylor (Elkridge, Md. / Mount de Sales Academy),
Judith Oyedele (Baltimore, Md. / CCBC Catonsville), and
Brittany Smith (Parkville, Md. / Wilde Lake), sophomores
Bryanne Baskette (Baltimore, Md. / Dundalk),
Katie Salim (Ellicott City, Md. / Marriotts Ridge), and
Kaitlyn Walter (Hampstead, Md. / Manchester Valley), freshman
Kirstin McGee (Middle River, Md. / Catholic),
Megan Morales (Joppa, Md. / Catholic), and
Summer Stevens (Lake Worth, Fla. / Park Vista) all were named to the team for lacrosse.
The softball team saw five players earn academic team, led by juniors
Margaret Pedersen (Brick, N.J.) and
Julianna Randazzo (Glen Burnie, Md.), sophomore
Grace Park (Clarksville, Md. / Atholton), and freshman
Paola Castillo (San Pedro Sula, Honduras / Escuela International Sampedrana) and
Maddie King (Virginia Beach, Va. / Bayside).
In the winter season, sophomore
Ashley Guy (Leonardtown, Md.) and freshman
Justice Walrath (Severna Park, Md.) received CSAC All-Academic honors for basketball.
