Box Score BALTIMORE, Md. -- The Notre Dame Gators hosted Colonial States Athletic Conference opponent Neumann University for their final game of the season. On the chilly fall afternoon, the Gators fell to the Knights, 4-0.
The Notre Dame offense sparked early as they tallied four shots quickly but couldn't find the back of the net. On the back end, goalkeeper
Loren Pardoe made a few acrobatic saves but the Knights posted their first goal in the 13
th minute of open up scoring. The Knights tacked on two more quick scores before the end of the half, Gators down, 3-0. Notre Dame would hold the Knights scoreless until the 82
nd minute. The team would fall in their season finale, 4-0.
The Gators had went shot-for-shot against the Knight, but just couldn't find the goal. Notre Dame tallied 15 shots in the game led by junior
Meghan Conner with seven. Pardoe posted 11 saves in the game, her ninth game with double-digit saves. Seniors
Raeden McCullough and
Alla Stepanov got in the action on both ends of the field in their final collegiate game.
Notre Dame wraps the 2017 campaign with a 2-14 overall and 1-10 in the CSAC. Conner finishes the season ranked sixth in the CSAC with shots per game with 4.40. This season she doubled her goals from her sophomore season, finishing the year with 12. She broke a Notre Dame single-game record against Clarks Summit, recording seven goals. Pardoe had a breakthrough year in her sophomore season in goal for the Gators. She finishes the year with 194 saves and is first in the CSAC for saves per game and is tied for fifth in the nation. Pardoe's 194 saves this season put her third in the Notre Dame record books for saves in a season. The Gators are graduating three defensive players, but return eight core starters next season.
