Cauley Records Career Saves In Gator Loss to Lions

Box Score BRYN ATHYN, Pa. – Notre Dame field hockey traveled to Bryn Athyn College for a non-conference match up Saturday.  In their second road game of the week, the Gators fell to the Lions, 10-0.

The team struggled offensively, spending most of the game on the defensive end of the field.  Freshman goalkeeper Calenna Cauley posted a career-high 23 saves in goal.  Cauley faced 45 shots from nine different players, posting a save percentage of .697.  Junior Megan Morales tallied the team's only shot on goal in the closing minutes of the first half. 

The Gators move to 1-4 this season and will next travel to Susquehanna University for their last of three road games in a row.  Field Hockey will host their first home game since September 9 on September 23 against Wesley College.
