Box Score BALTIMORE, Md. -- The Notre Dame Gators took on the Rosemont Ravens in Colonial States Athletics Conference play on Wednesday afternoon.
The late afternoon heat effected both teams early as the game was scoreless through the first 30 minutes of play. In the 30
th minute the Ravens got on the board first, taking a 1-0 lead.
Despite outstanding saves Gator goalkeeper
Loren Pardoe, Rosemont added three more goals in the first half. Notre Dame had three shots in the half and two scoring chances on corner kicks.
After another Ravens goal early in the second half, the Gators missed out on two scoring chances by a diving save by Rosemont on a shot by
Meghan Conner. Conner's shot led to a corner and another opportunity for
Morghan McQuaige and the Gators, but fell short.
The Ravens pounced quickly as they scored twice in the first five minutes of the second half then added two more for their eventual 8-0 win. The Gators did add to their shot total and limited Rosemont's in the second half.
The Gators will next head to Clarks Summit University to face the Defenders for more CSAC action on Saturday at 1 p.m.
