Cook Scores First Career Goal in Loss to Goucher

BALTIMORE, Md. – The Notre Dame soccer team faced local rival, Goucher College in their final non-conference matchup of the season. 

The Gators had a rough start against the Gophers, giving up five first half goals.  While holding Goucher scoreless in the second half, the Gators posted one goal to break up the shutout.  Notre Dame eventually fell, 5-1.

In the game, NDMU registered nine shots, four on goal.  Freshman Kayla Grube led the team recording five shots, with two on goal.

Freshman Haley Cook notched her first goal of the season in the second half for Notre Dame.  Prior to today's game she posted four shots on goal, finally landing her first of the season with one game remaining. 

Cook notched the team's lone goal off a rebounded shot from Grube.  She posted her second assist of the season.

Notre Dame had two different players in goal against the Gophers.  Freshman Trinity Pfeiffer recorded eight saves in 76 minutes, while junior Loren Pardoe tallied two saves in 13 minutes.

The Gators will finish their 2018 season on the road Thursday at Wilson College.
