MONT ALTO, Pa. – Notre Dame volleyball hit the road Thursday evening for their second meeting with Penn State Mont Alto. The Gators posted their second-consecutive sweep, posting a 25-21, 25-8, 25-10 victory.
The Gators had three players post eight or more kills against the Nittany Lions, led by freshman
Alyssa Kerns with nine.
Sophomore
Sarah Sweet and junior
Kayleigh Davis both finished with eight kills a piece, while sophomore
Michaila Sheedy added four.
The team finished with 33 kills with eight different players registering at least on kill.
Junior
Sara Few and senior
Ricelle Taganas combined for 25 assists and five aces.
The Gators posted 15 aces against the Nittany Lions, led by Sweet with five. Davis added three in the win.
On defense, Sheedy posted two solo block and Sweet posted one solo and one assist. Kerns had two assists and Taganas added one.
Three players posted double-figure digs, led by junior
Mary Marquez with 16, followed by Davis with 12 and Sweet with 10.
The team finished with 61.

The Gators will have one day off before hosting Clarks Summit University Saturday at 3:00 p.m. in a CSAC match up.
