ROANOKE, Va. – Notre Dame basketball traveled to Hollins University in their last non-conference game of the season. The Gators got off to a strong start going shot-for-shot against Hollins. A slow third quarter by Notre Dame let Hollins pull away as they fell, 57-46.
Senior
Justine Mudiay and freshman
Daija Fitchett led the team with nine points apiece. Fitchett went 4-for-6 from the floor, while also leading the team in rebounds with 10.
Mudiay posted two of the team's eight three-pointers, while also going 3-for-4 from the free-throw line.
Sophomore
Vanessa Dunn posted six points, with one three-pointer and two field goals.
Hollins and Notre Dame combined for 17 three-pointers in the game, with all of the Gators' first quarter points coming off three-pointers. Sophomore
Adrianna Fletcher scored the first six points for NDMU.
Sophomore
Jaya Green finished the game with nine rebounds and six points. Mudiay and sophomore
Keyeria Dawson combined for nine of the team's 19 assists.
