BALTIMORE, Md. – Notre Dame volleyball advances to 3-0 in the Colonial States Athletic Conference after their 3-0 (25-14, 25-13, 25-16) victory over Bryn Athyn College.
Junior
Michaila Sheedy was unstoppable for the Gators in their win over the Lions. She both teams in kills, racking up 12, while hitting for .750. This is her third game this season posting double-digit kills. She also added one ace, one solo block, and two digs.
Sophomore
Alyssa Kerns added nine kills in the match, while seniors
Mary Marquez and
Kayleigh Davis combined for 13.
Feeding the offense, senior
Sara Few paced the team with 32 assists, while leading the team from the service line with four aces. She continues to lead the conference averaging .84 per set.
Seven different Gators tallied an ace against the Lions, while the team finished with 11.
Defensively, Davis led the Gators with 17 digs, while freshman
Ivanella Figueroafollowed behind her with 11. The Gators posted 59 for the match.
WHAT'S NEXT?
In a short turnaround for NDMU, the Gators will face Washington College tomorrow at home at 7:30 p.m. Prior to the start Notre Dame will celebrate the 2018 CSAC Championship, handing out the 2018 team their championship rings.
