Box Score MORRISTOWN, N.J. – Notre Dame soccer was back in action Saturday afternoon, as they traveled to College of St. Elizabeth for a Colonial States Athletic Conference game. The Gators posted their sixth shutout of the season, advancing to 7-4 overall and 3-1 in the CSAC.
Both Gators' goals came in the first half of play. Junior
Adrianna Fletcher notched her first goal of the season in the 35
th minute. She knocked in a cross from senior
Colette Pierce to give NDMU the 1-0 advantage.
With time running down in the first, Pierce posted her ninth goal of the season. She posted the team's second and final goal off a penalty free kick.
The Gators put massive pressure on the Eagles, registering a season-high 38 shots. Freshman
Sara Morales led the team with nine shots, followed by senior
Loren Pardoe with six. Nine different Gators posted a shot against the Eagles.
In goal for NDMU, freshman
Myla Young posted her sixth shutout in the goal, tallying four saves in the win.
Notre Dame soccer has now surpassed their wins from last season. With three wins in the CSAC, they have now tied their conference wins from the 2015 season.
