BALTIMORE, Md. – The Gators advance to 5-0 in the Colonial States Athletic Conference Wednesday night after defeating Cairn University in straight sets, 3-0 (25-17, 25-19, 25-7).
Notre Dame had one of their best team performances, hitting for .293. This is their highest team hitting percentage for the month of October and highest against a CSAC opponent.
Junior
Michaila Sheedy paced the team, hitting for .583. She finished the match with eight kills, while sophomore
Alyssa Kerns led the team with 14. This is her second consecutive match posting 14 kills and is now averaging 9.3 per match.
Junior
Anna Gamble had her best hitting performance of the season, hitting for .571, with four kills. Senior
Kayleigh Davis added seven kills in the match, while adding three aces from the service line.
The Gators tallied 11 aces against the Highlanders for their 12
th match this season with 10 or more aces. Senior
Sara Few led the team with four aces, while freshman
Ivanella Figueroa added three and sophomore
Emma Jordan tallied one.
Defensively, both senior
Mary Marquez and Figueroa paced the team with 10 digs. Few and Davis combined for 12 digs. The team finished with 41. Kerns led the team in blocking with two solo and two assisted blocks. The Gators tallied six blocks.

NDMU will have two days off from competition before returning home on Saturday versus Keystone College.
