BALTIMORE, Md. – In the Gators' first game of the week, the hosted local opponent Goucher College. In the cross town match up, Notre Dame suffered a tough loss to the Gophers, 73-66.
Despite the loss, two players finished the game with double-doubles. Freshman
Ayana Brim led the team with 18 points and 11 rebounds. This is her second career double-double. She went 8-for-11 from the floor and 2-for-3 from the free throw line.
Sophomore
Daija Fitchett also tallied double-figure points and rebounds, finishing the game with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Following close behind, freshman
Ariana Alleyne posted 11 points, while also leading the team with five assists.
The Gators had five three-pointers against the Gophers, led by juniors
Keyeria Dawson and
Adrianna Fletcher with two apiece, while Dawson finished with eight points. On the boards, the Gators tallied 43 rebounds and added three blocks.
Defensively, freshman
Jaylah Lewis led the team with three steals, while Alleyne added two.
WHAT'S NEXT?
With Thanksgiving this Thursday, the Gators will be off from action the rest of the week. On Saturday, they will host Cedar Crest College in their Colonial States Athletic Conference opener.
